Alan is credited with over 300 movies and video games, including Dune, The Dark Knight-trilogy, Interstellar, Inception, Blade Runner 2049, Gladiator, Dunkirk, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes and The Holiday to name a few. Alan has worked with legendary composer Hans Zimmer for 30 plus years and their friendship and collaboration continues to this day. Soundthrills together with 18 other composers and audio engineers spent a week learning about Alan’s mixing techniques, industry secrets as well as getting one on one mixing sessions with their own material. He specialises in cinematic, orchestral, ambient and electronic music. I also do have a large place in my heart for electronic music, if you want to go really dark sci-fi out in space. Versatility is one of my core strengths as a composer. Music and emotions is my primary language. The projects I worked on have accumulated over 20 million views on YouTube. THE PROCESS I constantly write music in my head everyday. I often write and orchestrate my musical ideas in my head before I re-create them in my studio. In this flexible way I can try out different sounds and tunes in my head before having to create. This also helps develop my intuition when writing. The piano is my instrument and I work mainly in Cubase Pro.
